A Storm is the most ferocious way of nature to express its angst. During a storm, nature uses all its might and shows us how tough it is too canted with nature’s fury. People, who have witnesses a storm, never forget the devastation it used. Even, I am one of them, just the memories of the strong wind and the heavy rain, send shivers down my spine. I can even today remember every second of nature’s demonstration of its power. I feel luck to have survived to fell this horrible take to you all.

It was an unusually hot day mid-August during the rainy season of 2002. Since, the mooring the sky was clear and the intense sun rays were baking our small town. I went to school as usual. Further, according to the report, there would be heavy rains and the winds will blow with speeds ranging from 150-200 kilometres per hour. As is the case generally we thought that, these warnings are scarier than what actually happens and tried to cool down ourselves.

But the winds had already turned violent by 07:30, shaking trees riotously, little drops of rain had no pattern as the wind blew randomly in all the directions. By this time, I could see the tension and the fear on the faces of my own family members as well as our neighbors. All stood behind closed doors and windows, praying silently to the god, to prove the Met. Dpat wrong once again, that was all one could do.

For the next 4-5 hours no one could hear anything except the roaring wind due to which electricity was also gone. Once, the frightening winds had mellowed down, all of us went on to the terrace. The lower areas of the village were filled with water, neck deep people searched for safer places. Huts and even the roofs of some houses were blown away. Trees fell communication of any kind wasn’t possible. The village was divested. We ran down to help the drowning people. Soon the govt, helicopters arrived with help. During this relief operation, people of all castes and religions came for help.

Nature can show it s anger in the form of STORM which is harmful of human being but useful for unity.
