This invention of science has changed the whole mankind and has become the driving force of life in today’s world of science. No one can even fantasize living in a world without electricity. We are so dependent on electricity. If current goes of even for half and hour, it makes us uneasy.
It is the most important and feasible source of energy known to mankind. It is produced on a large scale as it is used everywhere, in industries, farms, shops and houses. It is transmitted though wires. Being the most important source of energy, it is still wasted due to improper usage.
In summers, we cope with the rising heat by the help of electricity. We run coolers, fans and air conditioners. Similarly in winters we run collers, fans and air conditioners. Similarity in winters we run heaters on electricity to keep our hosed, shops officers etc. warm and cozy. It is very helpful for communication purposes also. We message through telephones, fax and computers. These electronic appliances will work only if there is electricity. In the absence of electricity, no use of machines.
It is important for transport purposes as well. It runs our trains, trams etc. For road transport streets lights are very important in the night. There will be no supply of essential goods to our cities in the absence of electricity as their production will suffer the industries will come to a standstill and there will be no production.
Its usefulness is the evidence of its importance for the existence of mankind.
Thus, we are very much indebted to the great scientist Michael Faraday who invented it. He is the father of an electric generator and electric motor. The unit of electric is on the name of its inventor i.e. Faraday.
